About Us

Maddalenas Cheesecake & Catering is a family run business located in Ringoes, New Jersey. Originally founded in 1982 as a small baking company by Gene and Janet Maddalena, the business has been dedicated to producing quality cakes from the best ingredients available.

To Gene, a culinary chef and baker, quality was very important and is still evident today in every Maddalena cheesecake, made fresh and immediately frozen in the company’s own bakery. Janet is well recognized for her exceptional cake decorating skills.

Their business eventually expanded to include a catering company for corporate events and weddings throughout New Jersey.

Over the years, Maddalenas has garnered a reputation throughout New Jersey for its exceptional gourmet cheesecakes and excellent catering in NJ.

As their business grew, so did their family. Sons, Gene Jr. and Jeff grew up learning the family trade and are now hands-on leaders in the family business.

In late 2009, family patriarch Gene Maddalena passed away after a long illness. He is greatly missed by his family and friends. His wife and sons honor his memory by continuing their family business.
