Make a BBQ Pulled Pork Grilled Cheese on Sourdough

Maddalena's CheeseCake, Sweets, & Gourmet Oven Ready Meals

There are many ways to enjoy our BBQ pulled pork, but we decided to put together a simple recipe to show you how to make a grilled cheese with this prepared food that we sell at our Home of Deliciousness. Enjoy!


Ingredients:

8 slices of sourdough bread

1 container of our BBQ pulled pork

Extra BBQ sauce

8 slices of sharp cheddar cheese

4 slices of smoked gouda cheese

4-5 tablespoons softened butter


Instructions:

  1. Follow directions on packaging to heat up BBQ pulled pork.
  2. Butter one side of each bread slice.
  3. Place 4 slices of bread, buttered side down, on a clean cookie sheet or large plate.
  4. Assemble each sandwich by layering 1 slice of cheddar, a generous portion of BBQ pulled pork, 1 slice of smoked gouda, and 1 more slice of cheddar.
  5. Top with the remaining bread slices, buttered side facing outward.
  6. In a large skillet griddle the sandwiches over medium heat.
  7. You want to cook sandwiches for 3–4 minutes per side, pressing gently with a spatula, until the bread is a nice golden hue and the cheese is melted.
  8. Let the sandwiches rest for 1 minute, then slice in half.
  9. Serve this tasty sandwich with coleslaw and extra BBQ sauce.


This hearty sandwich makes a tasty summer dish for lunch or dinner. By the way, our spring berry ice cream or key lime pie will add a refreshing element to this meal.
