Dear Gina,

I am really looking forward to working with you and everyone at Maddalena's again this year on our Cub Scout Pack's cheesecake fundraiser. This will be my second year managing the sale for our Pack (I shadowed the previous manager the year before).

Your fundraising process is very straightforward; the spreadsheets are easy to understand and use, determine our profits at the end of the sale, as well as distribute to our families. As a busy working mom with other volunteer responsibilities, I truly appreciate the ease of the process. Our Pack loves the fact our fundraiser supports such an amazing local business. Your delicious cheesecakes and pies are easy to sell and they freeze and travel well. I have family as far away as North Carolina who have begun to ask when they can purchase and receive their cheesecakes; traveling family members are ready and willing to transport!

During our first sale (pre-pandemic) your very friendly delivery person brought the more than 350 cheesecakes and pies to our meeting place here in Hopewell. He helped us unload and meticulously count them to ensure our order was complete. Last fall, the pandemic prevented us from accepting delivery of our order at same place. You offered to let us use the farm stand across the street from Maddalena's (owned by your chef's family) to receive, sort, and distribute our cheesecakes and pies. This was a brilliant and generous solution to our problem! Using the farm stand allowed us to keep everything cold and have families pick up their orders in a drive through fashion. I loved watching the forklift of nearly 200 cheesecakes and pies drive across Route 31 (see attached picture).

We encourage a little friendly competition amongst our Cub Scouts. Our top sellers get to throw whipped cream pies at their Den Leaders. I have attached some pictures of the adults from the last time we did this (pre-pandemic of course). The kids and adults (ok maybe just the spectators) love this.

Thank you again for all you do to make our fundraiser such a success. The proceeds help our Pack subsidize annual dues and fund over all Cub Scout programming including camping and awards.

Cub Scout PACK 1776 -Meghan Sullivan Walsh-March 2025



For the past several years our Cub Scout PACK 1776 in Titusville, NJ has used Maddalena's CheeseCake and Catering Company for our annual fundraiser. Our Cub Scouts and families have had lots of fundraising success using Maddalenas both because our families love supporting a local business as well the fact that everyone enjoys their delicious cheesecakes! The cakes are an easy sell for our Cubs as friends and family look forward to supporting our PACK as well as purchasing a unique dessert. Maddalenas has been easy to work with organizing our sales, providing us with user friendly spreadsheets and promotional materials and responsive and flexible with timing and pick up. We keep coming back to their business each year and we love supporting them!

children grew up enjoying them and now that our children are grown - they still ask for your cheesecakes! We continue

Happy Holidays!

Your email comes at perfect time as our Cub Scout Pack celebrated our fundraiser success last night by holding our pie throwing event. Based on the number of items sold, each Cub Scout was able to throw between 2 and 5 "pies" (a pile of whipped cream on a paper plate). The kids were thrilled that we sold 200 cheesecakes and pies and made such a nice profit for the pack. As a result of our customers' generosity, of those 200 items, 30 were donated to HomeFront and TASK (15 each). I've attached a few pictures for your enjoyment and use on social media.

Once again, working with you and everyone at Maddalenas was a pleasure. Your spread sheets were super simple to use and distribute to our selling families. We appreciated you adding one last cheesecake order to put us at 200 items - after we submitted our official order! And words can't express how grateful we are to again have had permission to use the Cvetan's Farm Stand across

Route 31 for our families to pick up their orders.
